Age discrimanation laws and union contract provisions prevent workers in their 40's, 50's, and 60' from being let go after devoting their best productivity years to corporate profits.

Right wingers think this is a bad thing.

[do you realize how brainwashed you must be by right wing propaganda to bad mouth policies that benefit your own family's livelihoods?]

Whoever said they were all that hot to begin with? And why does it even matter? Just bring me my peanuts, ginger ale, and a pillow. What you look like is your problem. I couldn't possibly care less.

For the same reason the show PAn Am was canceled, competence won out.

Veteran waiter here!

I wish I had a nickel for every time I was told to my face by a female "We don't hire males for the waitstaff."

Complain to the EEOC?

What a joke that is.

Twenty-five years later, I'm still waiting for that complaint form to arrive in the mail.

For the record, I have no patience for a hot waitress who isn't familiar with a pepper mill or disappears for no apparent reason.

If your only qualification for a job is your looks, find one that doesn't also require thought.

It's all relative.

Delta's flight attendants are generally known as "The Four G's"

Grande
Granny
Gay
Ghetto

Your pick...

(True, I fly too much!)
