ADP reports:
Employment in the U.S. nonfarm private business sector increased by 110,000 from September to October on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to the latest ADP National Employment Report® released today. The estimated advance in employment from August to September was revised up to 116,000 from the initially reported 91,000.

Interesting. Employment continues to grow under the Administration amidst shrinking Government.

Quote:
Government payrolls have been shrinking by about 35,000 on average per month this year. So this suggests around 110,000 private nonfarm payroll jobs added, minus 35,000 government workers - or around 75,000 total jobs added in October.

It's good that the jobs numbers are going up. However, you may notice that the unemployment rate isn't moving; that's because the added jobs are not enough to keep up with the population growth.

Shrinking government employment, is not the same as shrinking government.

Unless the you suppose the bureaucrats are taking the laws/rules/regs with them when they are sacked.

Considering the numbers over last 11 years, hold your horses.

If you're considering the last eleven years, you will see periods of low unemployment. It's about the last 4 that have been bad.

It's slower that any of us would like, but as Obama said when he was campaigning, the recovery from the economic meltdown during the previous administration will be measured in years, not months. We're on the right track. Keep up the good work President Obama!

Yes, President Obama, keep up the good work and thanks for hiring 110,000 people in the private sector.
