retirement is a not a goverment function, it is something that washington dc has never learned. it is something called personal responsibility, nothing more and nothing less.
In essence,u belong to the " full privatisation " category..
One way of privatisation is..full termination of the SS program...

The future of SS is none of the above. Privatization is a stupid idea that only benefits Wall Street and it's being sold as a solution for us when it's just a cash cow for them. SS taxes should just end. All who paid into it shall receive their benefits. Everyone from the end date forward will have their own money to invest and save as they see fit.

(Reuters) - A majority of Americans prefer cutting defense spending to reduce the federal deficit rather than taking money from public retirement and health programs, a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday showed.
The poll found 51 percent of Americans support reducing defense spending, and only 28 percent want to cut Medicare and Medicaid health programs for the elderly and poor. A mere 18 percent back cuts in the Social Security retirement program.

I can show you a ton of other polls that say the exact same thing.

America says (Dems, Republicans, and Independents), don't touch social security, don't touch medicare, cut defense, and if you need to after that raise taxes on the wealthy.

That is the message America is sending congress.

Be blind to it at your own peril.
well said.

These kinds of "polls "are dirty political tricks...
They pitch one option against another...

My poll is honest, not confrontational, purely idealistic...
