Moody's keeps U.S. credit rating in place - Nov. 23, 2011

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Two of the three major rating agencies have now decided to keep the United States credit rating in place, despite the congressional super committee's failure to reach an agreement on deficit cuts.

Moody's announced Wednesday that it will maintain its Aaa rating. On Monday, Standard & Poors said it will keep its rating for U.S. bonds at AA-plus for the time being.

The jury is still out on how Fitch Ratings will react.

Raising taxes will not put a dent in the debt and or deficit.

It is spending cuts that will make the difference. Just like last time.

Spending cuts only will not put a dent into the debt or deficit problems.

It is REVENUE at this moment in time in ADDITION to over bloated programs being cut, and loopholes being closed that will make the difference. Always has, always will.

Question? How much revenue is enough?

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

Over 2.3 TRILLION, has been collected from us this year, and over 3.6 TRILLION has been spent. A bit excessive, don't you think?

Isn't it time for a balanced budget amendment, and time to getting back to supporting only those policies and activities that are constitutional?

Drop the department of education, (It's a states issue), drop welfare, section 8, food stamps, etc. That's why we have charity. (Why are charities collecting billions for people outside the U.S. when we have charity cases here INSIDE the U.S. that they should be helping. It's not the job of the government.
