My fellow Americans in the OWS movement aren't standing up for what's right, they're standing up for Barack Obama. I've always loved this country, I've never loved my government. OWS and the people chanting that they are the 99% DO NOT represent me or millions of other Americans who paid their student loans, who are employed, who take responsibility for themselves and who want to see more of what we already have.

Only 99%? lol

Labor unions are behind OWS and they give MILLIONS of dollars to Obama because he gives it back to them in our tax dollars. How many labor unions do you think will give millions to the 2012 Republican nominee?

So it seems you are not informed or probably even misinformed on the reasons for OWS. Here's a great article on the many reasons for the protest.
Wall Street Isn't Winning It's Cheating | Matt Taibbi | Rolling Stone

"People aren't jealous and they don’t want privileges. They just want a level playing field, and they want Wall Street to give up its cheat codes, things like: Free Money, Credit Amnesty, Stupidity Insurance, Ungraduated Taxes, Get Out of Jail Free."

"These inequities are what drive the OWS protests. People don't want handouts. It's not a class uprising and they don't want civil war -- they want just the opposite.
They want everyone to live in the same country, and live by the same rules. It's amazing that some people think that that's asking a lot."

Anyway, back to the topic. Yes, it annoys me to no end that Obama surrounds himself with Goldman Sach's execs and the money continues to flow in from Wall Street and European Banks. I can't even bare to watch his speeches anymore. As inspirational as they may be, I know it is all fluff.

I agree with that. It is also annoying to me that 30 US Corporations pay more to Lobbyists than the do in taxes. I wonder if there is a relationship?

Yeah, look at what one union official said about obama's last election....

Big Labor's Investment in Obama Pays Off

Quote:
"We spent a fortune to elect Barack Obama -- $60.7 million to be exact -- and we're proud of it," boasted Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, to the Las Vegas Sun this week.
RealClearPolitics - Big Labor's Investment in Obama Pays Off

And this one is going to be any different?

A lot of the inequalities that OWS protests against are never going to go away in a capitalistic environment because there will always be someone who works harder, has more, makes more money and is more successful. That's exactly what they're protesting against, success. We all do live in the same country and we do all live by the same rules. I had to pay my student loans back, why don't they want to follow those rules? Raping my neighbor is wrong, why can't OWS follow those simple rules?

Sigh. It's inevitible that a large segment of the population won't "get it" until it's too late so I will no longer waste my time on those that refuse to look at life through different lenses. In the meantime, I'll tell you what you want to hear:

Hundreds of Thousands (if not Millions) of people around the globe are protesting, getting beaten, shot with tear gas and pepper sprayed by police simply because they want an unnamed source to pay for their student loans and of course, rape their neighbors.

One of these demands is free college for everyone..

How exactly are you going to pay for this without taking it from someone?
And more importantly, why on gods earth do you want people who dont need college, to pay for those who think they do?
