That depends on the demographic of the D voter. If they are a smug ivy league educated person, they will think that way. The D voters I know that are members of unions have a strong hatred for illegal immigration.

What they're saying is they want businesses in Alabama to be able to have the same unfair advantage (by employing illegals at much lower expense than American citizens or legal residents) that businesses in other states can have.

The federal government refusing to do anything about illegal immigration is akin to giving those employing them corporate welfare. If a state tries to do something to stop it, businesses in other states will have an advantage.

The whole thing is so sad.

Not every liberal with an education is wealthy, many make the same or less than union workers. I do agree that both the Dems and GOP are out for the big corporations at the expnse of the average worker.
