Exactly. At one time a majority believed slavery was ok. And even when it was made illegal it most likely did not have a majority support. And people used the Bible to defend slavery then too.
This is where I get annoyed. Nobody that I have heard or seen in person or online has told anybody they are a piece of crap or anything remotely rude or mean about it. There is a small handful of people who would do that. Funny thing is, Christianity is bashed on a far more widespread basis than homosexuals or any other liberal cause du jour. So what does that say about who is the more tolerant group?
1st of all prove your assertion. What rights are not granted to Christians? None. What rights are not granted to homosexuals? Marriage.
Hey look, yet ANOTHER completely retarded and misguided "demonstration" from "protesters" who don't understand that unless they plan on doing their "kiss-in" at the CFA corporate headquarters, all they're doing is showing public affection in a locally-owned franchise business who's owner probably doesn't give a rat's ass what people do, as long as they buy food.

If Civil Unions are not up to par, make them. Like I said, a lot less people would object to a legal equality.
