For the xth time, no I do not have children... Nor would that change anything about the way I think. I simply am this unsentimental when it comes to children, and lots of people don't like me because of that, which is OK, though.

I can't really even blame the Duggars for everything, TLC doesn't really care how off the wall they get as long as people are talking about them. For all those saying the Duggars never needed financial help ... you do realize that these TV shows have been their JOB correct? It is a source of income both directly and indirectly (fame = other financial opportunities). Why do you think all the young people pimp themselves out to get on MTV or other reality shows?
Of course not, and that's a good thing, given the world population trend. I am doing my best to compensate for the irresponsible behavior of religious people. Nor am I so vain as to think I need to preserve myself in any way.
Given the attitude you have displayed on this thread, I would say its a very good thing you have no children.
No. And even if I had, I would be aware that there is a difference between the feelings I would have for a fetus or baby just born and those for a child that is already years old, i.e. a person with a persona, a character, etc. With the fetus it would be more like pity because it is so small, fragile, helpless, etc. I would feel the same as I did with the various pet babies I have held and fed. Those feelings are different from what I feel for a grown-up pets. My point was simply that I think there is much more reason to be devastated if someone's kid dies after years of life, i.e. when the kid actually has a persona and you got to know him or her.
So I'm guessing that if you had a baby, and that child had something along the lines of autism, and couldn't talk or interact with people, then pasted away, you wouldn't miss them as much because that child didn't have a personality or character. Nice.
