And just the fact that so many people are flat out insistent that their christian religion be represented on the White House card, as if their religion is the only religion, really pisses me off. How would you all feel, if instead of a christian message, the White House sent out Happy Hanukkah cards? Or Happy Winter Soltice cards (that would work for me!)?
This country is made up of many religions - and non-religions - and I think it is a wise president, or governor, or any other politician who recognizes that and chooses to not single out any one religious message for the annual Christmas card.
Okay, but why have a DOG on the card?! He has offended me with his partisan politics of making a clear preference towards dogs. At least Clinton had a cat, Socks.
And, of course, the dog is black. Can't have a president with a white dog.
Are you serious? Just because he doesn't mention Christmas he must be Muslim? God, people are so paranoid and irrational. You do realize there are more than two options for religious beliefs, and you do realize that what someone writes on a card isn't necessarily indicative of what they believe, right?

Thank you!! That is absolutely 100% correct, and it ticks me off how self-centered some people are. He is the President of the United States, and like it or not, there are MANY non-Christians in this great country... so it makes perfect sense for him to keep these cards non-religious, as it seems most (if not all) Presidents have done in the past. But of course, it's only a problem when the 1/2 Black President does it - huh?
He's just showing what Republican priorities are.....
This is the joke they prefer:
A white rich christian guy, a white rich christian guy, and a white rich christian guy walk into a bar.
The bartender asks,"What can I get you , Mr. Republican candidate?"
LOL! Reminds me of something an English professor of mine (I was an English major) once said... this is Modern English Literature, which means we'll be studying more than just "dead white guys." Somehow I think most Republicans would've dropped that class, in favor of the 19th Century Lit course.
Amen, cinebar. The WH is not the RCC, the Vatican, the head of the Baptists church, a synagogue, or any other religious hq or symbol. It is a political structure.
PS, Bush also featured dogs on cards w/o religious symbols. That was alsoa proper WH card.
