Doesn't matter how much it cost the beauroweenies to invent their little PC toys for moonbats. It's not their money so who cares.

"Each Chevy Volt sold thus far may have as much as $250,000 in state and federal dollars in incentives behind it – a total of $3 billion altogether, according to an analysis by James Hohman, assistant director of fiscal policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

Hohman looked at total state and federal assistance offered for the development and production of the Chevy Volt, General Motors’ plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. His analysis included 18 government deals that included loans, rebates, grants and tax credits. The amount of government assistance does not include the fact that General Motors is currently 26 percent owned by the federal government."

The Federal Government is socializing the debt and privatizing the profits of automakers.

How did we get here?

Barrack Hussein Obama. That's how.

You're being awfully selective there. Only Obama, huh?

First problem with the numbers i see is that they are using the full amount of tax credits given for the assembly plant. If the plant only made the volt, that would be true, but it also builds other GM vehicles.

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy is like the Heritage Foundation. The results are always politically self serving for the moment.
(of course you don't remember when the Heritage Foundation was pushing that every American be required to buy health insurance in the 1980's)

$40,000 mini car hybrids help the coal industry.

It makes me laugh when I see some rich environmentalist driving his Prius at 60 mph through Los Angeles. A sea of eight lanes and never ending traffic.

This egghead thinks he's making a difference.
