Then you haven't done your research before entering that voting booth.
Ballots are posted online and in the papers for all to see before election day.

That is YOUR problem that you didn't bother to know what you are doing or who you are voting for on election day.

All we're doing now is catering to the ignorant/apathetic people who can't be bothered to do what they are supposed to do.

It's just helping to identify the clear choice. You would have the "D" next to the Dem and a "$" next to the Repub. Now, that's just a fair representation.

It was the US Justice Department that said in your link, that blacks are too stupid to know who to vote for, unless they know who the democrats are:

The Justice Department prevented the 2008 referendum change, arguing in part that “the elimination of party affiliation on the ballot will likely reduce the ability of blacks to elect candidates of choice.”

Yes, i would be offended.

Over $4 trillion in years of new debt from 0bama, and you'd put the dollar sign next to republicans????

Yes, because Democrats are all selfless and don't care about "money".

Good luck with the Narrative.

OK Happy. On Perfect Planet, that's how it would work.

I know Texas doesn't have much of a government, so maybe your ballots are really short, and everybody knows everybody's dog's name.

But here in the People's Republic, the ballots run 8-15 pages long. I don't always take the time to study the whole freakin' thing. By the time I get to down-ballot races, in the absense of knowing much else about a candidate, I'll take into account party affiliation.

That doesn't make me "ignorant" or "apathetic". It makes me normal

Yep, typical, just vote for the party and not the substance behind the candidate. That's exactly how we got into this mess.

Now who would have thought you'd reply like this?

The point of the OP sailed right over your head...

Now they can just look for the "big D" rather than try to read the other words.
The southern states have a history of trying to supress black votes by any means possible. Among them were "literacy tests". That's why NC and seven other states are under injunction against changing their voting laws without federal approval. That's why Kinston's "no denomination" initiative got tossed.

Are you in favor of bringing back literacy tests?
