Finn, these guys are all flip flopping at such levels that i don't know how they can keep straight faces and avoid embarrassment. But they're just that shameless.

No, but an alleged conservative should be consistent in remarks towards the allegedly BAD BIG Government, not the flip-flopper that the Newt is.

There is nothing limiting states from running their own healthcare system, nor getting as big as they want. Are you another one who needs an education on the fundamental responsibilities of the fedeal govt vs the states?

The sad part is that all those people here to keep saying "we need a real conservative" always vote for people like Romney and Gingrich who will give them all those things they hate the most.

So you're saying Newt was FOR it, before he was against it, then for it, then against it?

What was that neat little gem that Republican's used back in 2004...oh yes..."flip flop".

Well, you know....that's all water under the bridge.

Let bygones be bygones.

Some people are capable of learning from their mistakes and the mistakes of others.

Some people are not.

Some people will admit they have been wrong.

Some people will not.

Some people understand that the world changes over time and what may have worked in the past will not work now.

Some people believe what failed in the past actually worked in the past and will work now.

This is why we spent a trillion borrowed dollars to stimulate the economy.

Liberals believe government spending creates jobs.

They believe the New Deal social welfare programs grew the economy and reduced unemployment.

Conservatives understand the New Deal never reduced unemployment.

Liberal policies failed then and they failed, as predicted, this time as well.

Many conservatives who flirted with government-run health care systems now realize their mistake.

We're all human and we all screw-up.

Yea, the New Deal was a failure, which is why Roosevelt won 4 elections. Some failure that was.

Anyway, you're making excuses. First of all, Newtie isn't a conservative...he's a Republican. He'll say anything to get elected. He agreed with Mitt on that HC bill then, and he agrees with it now. His problem is that he wants to get elected, and the bill doesn't pass the smell test with the Tea Party Repubs....the only Repubs that matter right now. If the Nutty Right agreed with Mittcare, Newt would still verbally be in favor of it.

You know this, i know this ,and everyone else knows this. So please, stop with the excuse making for Ol' Newtie and face the fact that the guy believes in big government solutions for HC.
