And when you do so, the rich get a bigger dollar cut. It's just math.
Then, we don't have enough money to run the government and we can't support the government we have, such as all those border guards you like.

Hint, the other $131 trillion would be the corporate wealth in this country.... Nice try deflecting though.

Corporate wealth, huh? You mean like the stocks in pension funds and 401k's, etc.?

Guess who one of the U.S.'s biggest investors is... CalPERS, the California public employees' retirement system. Yep... union pensions.

Total Assets of the U.S. Economy $188 Trillion, 13.4xGDP : rutledgecapital.com

Apparently, that doesn't include government owned property and land. The federal government owns 650,000,000 acres and a lot of buildings that are not in the $188 trillion.

Fact blue states pay the tax dollars and red states spend them. We're getting tired of carrying you freeloaders.

Really....my reply had very much to do with your previous post. If you cannot see the connection......well, I won't say.

What Republicans eventually want is no taxes, because any government is a force to control the malfeasance of the elite and they don't want that. They'd rather have the rich buy services they want for themselves and everyone else be damned.

But the mere statement that "Republicans want to lower taxes for everyone," shows a particular insensitivity to facts. It takes a certain amount of money to run a government. At present tax-rates, which produce deficits, it requires cruel cuts in government spending alone on people programs and defense to achieve a balanced budget. Cut them further and we're in Dickens territory.

Then there's the math. Cutting spending equally sounds fair but the cuts go mainly to the wealthy. So, give everyone a 10% cut. A millionaire who pays $150,000 in taxes gets a $15,000 cut while someone paying $5,000 in taxes gets a $500 cut.

Saying it is the liberals fault Alaska takes two dollars from DC for every federal tax dollar they pay. Blue states like New York and California receive a fraction of what they pay into DC. Red state take while blue states pay. Seems it is the wingnut red states are the ones consuming more than they pay.

If you are pointing fingers, try pointing them in the right direction. YOUR BASE is the biggest consumers of public funds.

While that may be true the Dems in power today ARE cutting taxes without cuttting spending.

The Obama tax cuts and the payroll tax cut are 2 examples..both passed and signed by Dems.
