One man's opinion. Whatever. We'll all see if we live long enough.

But i'm not going to sit around and worry about it when most citizens don't seem to give a damn.

The decline began within a few years after WWII.

No, it was much more accurate the second time around. The konservatives in this country have not only been dedicated to a Forever War on credit but they have been trying to reverse not only the New Deal but the very Enlightenment that placed Reason over Religion. We are not so slowly sliding into a theological tyranny ruled by a hypocritical aristocracy with no political, civil or economic rights for the disenfranchised and impoverished masses.

We are going to hell in a hand basket and Mammon is carrying us irretrievably on our way.

Wow. No. Exactly the opposite. They're actually getting the LION'S SHARE of federal services, benefits, and spending. See my earlier post in this thread.

I would rather support our impoverished masses than spend trillions killing other country's peasants. How many of our people would be unemployed and how many portfolios devastated if we stopped our Forever War? The true welfare class in this economy is the War profiteers and their employees.

Our being the Warmasters of the world has driven us to bankruptcy and eternal damnation.

Before we worry about this country declining, we have to take into account that China has a long way to go to reach the level of prosperity we, Americans, take for granted. Until then, the world will depend on America.

Then why do you spend so much time blaming the GOP for impoverishing the masses? I thought the GOP wanted to kill these people and starve them to death

Theological leanings are rather more pronounced with GOP.
