The day after Barrack H. Obama A.K.A Barry Soetoro took office as President of the United States (POTUS), he filed executive order 13489, banning the release of his records.
claud, the executive order had to do with presidential records, not personal records. it had absolutely zero to do with obama's birth certificate or any other personal record. the executive order was almost verbatim to the similar order reagan signed and granted greater access than the one hw bush signed.
It seems some American conservatives are confused, like Obama's father I was born a British subject but being a subject did not nake me a British citizen.
It seems conservatives do not seem to have the ability to learm how the majority of countries with the Queen as head of state work.
Birthers are completely and without exception ignorant of British Nationality Laws.
Yet they are willing to pontificate regarding them at the drop of a hat.

A stupid and ignorant lie, provable by simply reading the EO.
It has exactly nothing to do with the personal records of any President.
The perpetual inhabitant admits he was born a British Subject. We know a subject is not the same as a citizen. A subject is one who owes a permanent allegiance to the monarch.
More oblivious pontificating on citizenship law by DC. Here's what the Supreme Court has to say about it:
Quote:
The term "citizen," as understood in our law, is precisely analogous to the term "subject" in the common law, and the change of phrase has entirely resulted from the change of government. The sovereignty has been transferred from one man to the collective body of the people, and he who before as a "subject of the king" is now "a citizen of the State."

this is not new information. is this the first time you are hearing this or are you intentionally promoting false information?
Show me where it says Presidential records do not include personal records.
What this says, is that only the Attorney General and Council to the President, are able to review records’ requests and determine if they can be made public or not.
In effect, what this order does is over-turn the previous executive order by Bush, that Presidential records can be made publicly availabe through the Freedom of Information Act.

Executive Order 13233[1] limited access to the records of former United States Presidents. It was drafted by then White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales and issued by George W. Bush on November 1, 2001. Section 13 of Order 13233 revoked Executive Order 12667 which was issued by Ronald Reagan on January 18, 1989.
Some people need to stop making Republicans look like gullible morons. Then again after yesterday's election of Newt "Infidelity is bad Unless I Do It" Gingrich, I suppose that's damned near impossible.
