As usual .. lying DemonRats lead ignorant forum posters to the brink of idiocy and then push them in!

The Red and Blue Farce is known as the .. "Who Increased The Debt?" Chart and was created by none other than Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Rats!

It's been discredited any number of times even though morons continue to circulate it as shown.

Hey .. I have an idea for all the brain dead, Pelosi and Obama butt lickers .. do some research of your own instead of parroting your precious leaders (who .. btw .. could give a Rats @$* about you) outside of your dumbed down vote!

It’s really simple to figure out who is exploding the debt in this country. Just plug in the dates from the Treasury.gov website.

The national debt the day GW Bush took office: 5.7T

The debt when the Democrats took over Congress in 2007 with a super majority: 8.6T

* 2.9T after 6 years of big spending Bush.

The debt figure after two years of Dem control and the day Obama took office: 10.6T

* 2.0T increase in just TWO YEARS!

The national debt presently: 15.2 TRILLION!!!

Another look ..
Reagan: Up 14.9 percentage points
George H.W. Bush: Up 7.1 percentage points
Clinton: Down 13.4 percentage points
George W. Bush: Up 5.6 percentage points
Obama: Up 21.9 percentage points (through December 2010 only)

7.4 TRILLION DOLLARS OF DEBT RACKED UP SINCE THIS COUNTRY WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO PUT DEMOCRATS IN CHARGE!!!!

If I have insulted some morons .. again .. I have done my job and can retire for the evening!

Excellent post! The right wingers don't care about facts, they will just keep obediently defending the right's epically failed fiscal polices. I swear they must have some kind of serious stockholm syndrome

From Mr. Close's Politifact link

Quote:
The chart is significantly off for both Bush and Obama. We found Bush to have an 86 percent increase, not 115 percent as the chart said. And we found the debt under Obama to be up by 34 percent, more than double the 16 percent cited in the chart.

We quickly discovered the source of the discrepancy: Whoever put the chart together used the date for Jan. 20, 2010 -- which is exactly one year to the day after Obama was sworn in -- rather than his actual inauguration date. We know this because Treasury says the debt for Jan. 20, 2010, was $12.327 trillion, which is the exact number cited on the supporting document that Pelosi’s office gave us.
Honest people will acknowledge that a president sworn in on Jan 20th 2009 doesn't own the budget passed in 2008.

Tax and spending bills are passed by Congress and signed into law by presidents to take effect in the next year, there's no way that the debt accumulated in 2009 can be assigned to the president who didn't sign any such bills into law. That holds true for all incoming presidents, whether Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II or Obama.

But Mr Close doesn't deal in truth. For example, his contention that Reagan increased the national debt by only 15% is demonstratably false. Using Mr Close's own preferred measurement method (and using data from his own link), the national debt at the end of FY 1980 was $909 billion and the national debt at the end of FY 1988 was $2.6 trillion dollars. That's a 186% increase and not 15% as Mr Close would have us believe.

But Bush never signed the budget bills for 2009, Obama did.

Creative math from the left - kind of like that magical "surplus" that Clinton had. Yet even when presented with the facts, the left continues to manipulate and spin things to make themselves sleep at night. The worst part is that the they change the numbers and still believe it!! Lemmings.

Facts?

That's the main thing that conservatives have on our side.

Anyone can make up a chart.

I swear, if obama were filmed killing puppies, lefties would swear that killing puppies is somehow good.
