Haven't you figured out that he's simply lying?

What he is saying sounds good but actions really speak louder. To a bunch of people he also sounded good in 2008 but his actions have not held up and we are even more divided now.

When he said that I was thinking "don't we already do that?". Personally, I think pushing people through high school by forcing them or dumbing down the curriculum and requirements devalues a high school education entirely. Actually, I think it's already done that. And that's not fair.

Is it me, or is presidential politics representative of an American Idol phone in competition?

While the media microscope remains firm on the presidential election, the senate and the house of reps, the elections that exact real change and matter the most, are conveniently wiped under the rug, with "non-competitive" districts and antipathy.

Until our population becomes less intellectually lazy and realizes the where the real power in federal elections lie, the more we will remain status quo and aimlessly float along into a state of economic abyss.
