Typical no substance posting..
Goes to show how steady our hypocrisy system is. The money is protected, which is why it's called a "haven"..If it made no difference, they wouldn't use them.

I thought it was very good. Obama had a positive message. It was a major break from the reality TV style Republican debates which have dominated politics recently.

You keep money in other countries to protect it from judgments, it does NOT protect it from the IRS..

Opinion - *Cayman Islands not a tax haven

Obama wants to shrink the "gap between the rich and poor". I don't want more poor slobs moving into my neighbor hood Mr. Obama! Thanks to the housing crash and all your efforts to "give home owners a break", my new neighbors have 3 broken cars, a trailer, and a washing machine in their front yard!

Cant you talk factual, or is making up lies by claiming people who pay ZERO income tax are having the budget balanced on their backs.. Tell me how that works exactly.

Wow...I guess this is what it's like in the room with Republicans. The point is being completely missed by you. Again, why are you arguing this? Can you at least agree that taxes should be discussed? Even a little? If not then you are proving my point.

Absolutely, everyone thinks that we need to broaden the tax base, but thats not whats taking place under Democrats, who just want SOMEONE ELSE to pay taxes..

So, you think spoonfed pap from Oblama's speechwriters is "very good" compared to an actual discussion of ideas. Figures.

Then perhaps we can agree. As I said, everything should be on the table from Democrats and Republicans. We can broaden the tax base, raise capital gains to, say, 23%, close subsidies and loopholes, and we are on the road to progress.

Everytime they lower the capital gains, they raise tax revenues.. Why would you expect the same result from doing the opposite reaction?

Trace, you said it. This was a carefully crafted campaign speech. It was full of hypocrisy from a capitalist-hating, Communist president. He is saying any and everything, promising the moon, sun, stars and everything just to hopefully get four more years.

God help us if he cheats, lies and gets it. Once in power for that long even the diehard supporters will watch our dollar continue to crumble and lie after lie be exposed.

The parts of trying to better businesses really was something I assume he'll be laughing about later.

Let him have his temporary surge in some polls, some of them maybe real and others fake, anyway. His sheeple that feel desperate for hope will give him accolades for at least saying what they are praying and hoping for. THAT's all that will come out of this speech.

Because there are so many sheeple that voted for him the last time that are not yet awake, we can be thankful that the election is far from now.
