The commercial appears to be a sly dig at Flip-Flop Romneyturd for his support of "letting Detroit go bankrupt", and gives credit to President Obama for saving the auto industry.

Almost 60% of Chrysler is owned by Fiat, an Italian company. It is expected that they will acquire more Chrysler stock from the United Auto Workers union’s retiree health-care trust
Fiat's CEO expects to sell Fiats in the US using the Chrysler sales network and wants to merge the two companies in 2014.
The 'second half' may not go the way Clint would like.

Of course, there's also been speculation that Sergio Marchionne could move Fiat to Auburn Hills and tell Italy and the Italian auto union to pound sand. (Marchionne said the UAW has been much easier to deal with than the union in Italy.) If that happens, then I guess Fiat would become American, huh?
At least that speculation has some basis in reality, unlike all the doom-and-gloom predictions in 2010 about Chrysler having no new products coming, which has been proven in the last 12 months be complete bull****. And yeah, it sucked that they needed a "bailout" to keep going, but the global automotive industry doesn't play by our rules anyway.

Chrysler has been running similar ads for a couple of years now----previous ones were narrated by Emeninem.
Their theme has been consistent the past couple of years in the adds----that Detroit is now rolling and the ball is in their court.
I dont gauge any politicism in the adds either----to do so is a stretch.
They have been pounding the theme of the comeback of American labor, hard work, and creativity-----if that is contrued as politicism by some----so be it.
