Obama sponsored this CHANGE in Egypt by sending our troops and weapons, and by blackmailing the country that they would not get money if power was handed over.

Islam/Muslim Brotherhood continues to be the ONE group doing better under the Obama regime in the last 4 years.

Who Lost Egypt?

On Sunday, new president Mohamed Morsy completed Egypt’s transformation into an Islamist state. In the space of one week, Morsy sacked the commanders of the Egyptian military and replaced them with Muslim Brotherhood loyalists, and fired all the editors of the state-owned media and replaced them with Muslim Brotherhood loyalists.

He also implemented a policy of intimidation, censorship and closure of independently owned media organizations that dare to publish criticism of him.

Morsy revoked the military’s constitutional role in setting the foreign and military policies of Egypt. But he maintained the junta’s court-backed decision to disband the parliament. In so doing, Morsy gave himself full control over the writing of Egypt’s new constitution.

As former ambassador to Egypt Zvi Mazel wrote Tuesday in The Jerusalem Post, Morsy’s moves mean that he “now holds dictatorial powers surpassing by far those of erstwhile president Hosni Mubarak.”

In other words, Morsy’s actions have transformed Egypt from a military dictatorship into an Islamist dictatorship.

...
The rapidity of Morsy’s moves has surprised most observers. But more surprising than his moves is the US response to his moves.

Obama administrations officials have behaved as though nothing has happened, or even as though Morsy’s moves are positive developments.

For instance, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, one administration official dismissed the significance of Morsy’s purge of the military brass, saying, “What I think this is, frankly, is Morsy looking for a generational change in military leadership.”

...
It should be recalled that the Saudis so feared the rise of a Muslim Brotherhood-ruled Egypt that in February 2011, when US President Barack Obama was publicly ordering then-president Hosni Mubarak to abdicate power immediately, Saudi leaders were beseeching him to defy Obama. They promised Mubarak unlimited financial support for Egypt if he agreed to cling to power.

The US’s astounding sanguinity in the face of Morsy’s completion of the Islamization of Egypt is an illustration of everything that is wrong and dangerous about US Middle East policy today.

There will probably be stories like this to try and smooth out who the new leader (Mursi) is - but don't be fooled.

Exclusive: New Egypt leader steps out on world stage seeking "balance"

At the bottom of the article is this...

In what could be an important sign of a shift in the region, Mursi's visit to Iran this week will be the first by an Egyptian leader since Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution. The two countries broke off diplomatic relations at the time over Egypt's support for the ousted Iranian Shah and its peace with Israel, and have yet to formally restore ties.

Egypt will shift from being an ally of the US to being an ally of Iran. Thanks Pres. Obama.

It's been US foreign policy for more than a century to destroy nations via war and revolution.

The USA supported the February 1917 "democratic" revolution that deposed the 900 year old Christian Russian monarchy...
a few months later, October 1917, the bolsheviks took total control of Russia.

In 1999 US/NATO bombed Serbian Christians into submission. US/NATO troops occupied Serbia's Holy of Holies [Kosovo]
then gave it to Albanian Muslims [US/NATO troops still occupy Kosovo to keep Christian Serbs from reclaiming their land.]

Just curious, got a link (proof) that any troops or weapons were sent to Egypt.

Read the article -- it's not claiming this was done through USA troops.

Next the government will insist that we need to take in millions of the Egyptians now who want to flee their dictatorship. We're bringing in Islamics right and left as it is -- anyone who doesn't want to fight against a dicatorship can just come here and claim his refugee assistance.

Why would anyone be surprised by these events? This is exactly what rebels do when they win the revolution. This will certainly stop any economic development in Egypt and be a warning to any other African state that attempts to industrialize and be a competitor to western banks, finance and industry.

I think we should offer asylum to any Egyptian women and girls that wish to escape the tyranny of Sharia Law. The men can stay behind to bugger each other.
