While other countries invest in education, universal healthcare, bullet trains, you-name-it, 51 percent of your taxes go to military spending aka "wars". .....
Considering that 47% pay no federal income tax at all that leaves a minority funding the national defense of this country.
I have no problem with military spending for our own national defense. Providing for the national defense is a Constitutional responsibility of our federal government whereas the remainder of the list from the OP is not. We are not a Socialist country....yet (getting their fast under Obama though).
My problem is in our military being used in pre-emptive undeclared wars for the global elite along with "nation building" to drain the wealth from the USA.

How does that make the remaining 53% a minority? 53 is larger than 47, no?

thanks, good to know.
You realize the "other countries" get away with no military budget because they owe their very existance to the umbrella the US Military provides for them ?

no, I supect you have no clue ....
Yes, I do know this and have wondered why for years. Why were we in Germany and So. Korea for years. It certainly was more for our benefit than theirs. Access is what it was about.
I'm beginning to have grave doubts about an organization that says it protects it's own and then puts our wounded in places like that falling apart hospital in DC. To add insult to injury they dispose of service peoples remains in dumps. I'll never believe another word those baztards at the Pentagon say.

With such a huge military--larger than all the others in the world put together--you'd think we could DEFEND OUR OWN BORDERS.
Does anyone really think 9/11 would have happened, if we weren't constantly waging war overseas?
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who will defend our borders and stop bankrupting us by keeping us as the Nazi Germany of the post-WWII world.
Ron Paul's chances of being a presidential contender are "slim and none",......and "slim" is on his way out of town on a horse.
Ron Paul can have an effect upon this presidential race,.....he can run as a third party candidate and guarantee Obama a win. Paul might get some of his ideas on planks in the repobican platform, but he can't win the nomination,....and couldn't beat Obama even if he did.
Id rather we spend it on the military than do nothing welfare leeches. At least the military serves a purpose.
National defense is a critical spending objective, welfare is not.
This might be a valid point if not for the fact that most of our military spending has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with our national defense.
