President Obama is meeting with Benjamin Netanahu today to discuss Iran's nuclear program. Probably not advisable to cancel this important meeting. When Joplin, Missouri was hit by a tornado last year, the President visited the devastated city within a week. President Obama will be the commencement speaker May 21 at Joplin High School.
Has Obama visited any of these towns devastated by tornadoes?

I realize as individual he can't do much, but sometimes people just want some type of reassurance or acknowledgement.
This happened Saturday night and it's now Monday morning. I expect the president will probably make an appearance in some of those disaster areas within a few days.
Apparently the "dust has been settling" in Nashville for almost 2 years because he still hasn't made an appearance here relating to our flood in 2010. Heck, he didn't even make a personal public statement, just had his press secretary say a few words a few days later.
Even liberal writers & bloggers from this area were frustrated by the lack of acknowledgement.
But who cares about major death and destruction in TN. The president has to save his time for the really important things, you know, like beer summits for one offended professor or a personal phone call for one offended feminist.
Thankfully Nashville pulled together and took care of itself. Anderson Cooper said he had never seen a city come together to help each other the way Nashville did.
Today is day eight after the Nashville Flood of 2010. Our own personal Katrina.
The losses are staggering. People are dead, drowned in their own homes, swept off roads. Businesses are destroyed. Food banks are decimated. Inmates saved the Metro water treatment facility by sandbagging their hearts out and are now on the streets as work crews, helping to clear the debris.
Even our prisoners are helping, Mr. President.
So where are you?
And to answer the question in the article quoted above- Obama was golfing. On May 8th and May 15th- he golfed, complete with published photos of the golfing. Much of Nashville was dealing with power outages, loss of homes, loss of life, loss of businesses, one water plant was flooded and shut down, so residents had to severely limit water use. And Obama was smiling away golfing, while not having made a single personal public statement about the flood.

I haven't seen anyone whining about the costs of the President's visit or what he did while he was there, so I'm guessing that he hasn't gone there yet.
Of course he isn't.... he is more concerned with calling up irresponsible girls with low self esteems and congratulating them for pushing his agenda...
I've often wondered why Presidents do these visits. They never accomplish anything. The federal emergency services people don't change what they do because the President flew over.
One other thing people are guaranteed to complain about is how much it costs to fly Air Force One, usually quoting huge hourly rates, no matter where or why the President (any President) travels.
"Bush is not the president any more. It is not OK to talk about him".
