Americans should suggest more ways for oil companies to rake in bigger profits. As the consumer how can you help them?
And, BTW, God Bless America!
They should lobby to become an arm of the government.
No entity takes in such a gargantuan sum of of money and offers little to nothing in return to justify it, than the state.

All hail!!!!

I thought you were talking about Apple.

Funny how people knock the oil companies while they type on their Macs and Ipads.

Is Apple evil ?

You misread. Oil companies should operate without subsidies and be free to profit.
On the other hand the state is the biggest leach in the history of the planet.

Well;one only has to look at what they are facing and what they are already doing about future energy needs. US consumptionhas droped 20% from peak and is not expect to rise i the future and eventually start dropping. Crude is not allowed to be exported;so why is the industry expanding refing and investig so much in future prodc=cution? Well the experts say by 2030 the US will be self sufficwent .But its alos like they will start exoporting refined product which is leagl. That emans jobs here, Its alos likely we will be exportig antural gas. that emans not only profits and jobs but money comig into the US instead of billons goig out to foreign producers.Italos mean that especailly with antural gas that enrgy to drive prodcutio can be a competitive edge. Natural gas now cost $ 2.00 per measured unit but the Japanese are willig to pay $17.00 for that same unit. That emans the worry about growing export deficits that was the iisue just a few years ago before over shallowed by governamnt deficits ;woudbe greatly help by both cheap energy to fuel more competitive production on NG and growig exports of refined prodcuts from crude.Thsi of course alos depends on tranporting the NG and Crude. By pipeline its much cheaper compared to nay other way by far. It can add as much as 12.00 per bareel depdning on type other than pipeline. So we need to encourage infrastructure to achieve this as we all will benefit include the oilprodcuers and especially consumers as they can't pass on cost.Energy and its cost drive GDP and we have a bright future if we just act in our interesr and the sooner we start they better off the nation will be.

They havent always been successful.......Montgomery Wards comes to mind.
It only took 3 years after they purchased Wards for it to go belly up.

I'm looking at the list of indusries and their average profit margins.
Oil at 6.7% Lumber at 17.7% Oil is the evil profit monger but no one ever complains about the cost of lumber. I think the people who complain about oil being evil don't shop at Lowes or Home Depot. They may be shocked to see the prices of a few pieces of 2x4 and a sheet of plywood.

One giant step was the approval of the Keystone Pipeline. Oil that was going to the midwest can now be shipped to the Saudi owned refinery in Huston and sold on the World Market for more than they were getting selling it in the US. So people in the miwest will be paying more and doing their part

So why is it that gas is cheaper in MO than it is here in FL?
