From reading some of the threads about the increase in gas prices I started this one.
Americans should suggest more ways for oil companies to rake in bigger profits. As the consumer how can you help them?
And, BTW, God Bless America!
Just point them in the direction of GE for an example. GE beats any of the oil companies hands down for keeping profits and even getting credits from the USG. Having an "in" with the administration also helps.
LOL..fingers point to the oil companies and right under your nose is GE.
Better than looking to GE as an example, take a look at the profits of Apple. Every year Apple has profit margins of 28% to 32%
People wait in line to spend hundreds of dollars for the lastest toy that was made by people being paid 50 cents an hour.
Oil companies average about 6% a year and people think it's too much.
The company generating the electricity for you to read this gets [and is guaranteed] more than 6%
You want to share in the wealth of oil companies? Buy stock. That's the way it's done in a free market economy. On the other hand if you want oil company property and profits seized for your benefit maybe you should emigrate to Venezuela. Chavez specializes in that.

No matter what profit you think an oil company gets for providing gas, think more about the fact that the government taxes 500% or more in tax than oil makes for profit and government did nothing to get the gas to you.
Does that make you feel better?
