Limbaugh’s advertising losses may have been less than media accounts suggested.
“Fewer than five” nationwide sponsors of the program actually pulled out, he said.
Well then, I guess he is admitting he's been lying all along, especially to his easily duped liberal followers?
Remember how they were saying with big old "BREAKING NEWS" headlines that hundreds upon hundreds of advertisers were fleeing Rush?

At the peak of the controversy in early March, two small stations — in western Massachusetts and Hilo, Hawaii — said that they would drop his program. Since then, no other station has said it will take him off the air, dashing the hopes of MoveOn.org, a liberal group whose ongoing petition drive seeks Limbaugh’s removal from 180 stations.
I guess those advertisers actually listen to and want to RETAIN listeners, instead of bowing to the pressure of a few hundred leftist anti-free speech activists?
While more than 100 advertisers told Premiere that they didn’t want to be associated with “controversial” radio programs of any kind in the wake of the flap, some of these companies weren’t regular Limbaugh sponsors in the first place.
Right. One hundred advertisers pull out and Rush doesn't see a problem. LOL!!!
I agree that it's a waste of time to go after Rush. The King of Buffoons has legions of loyal listeners no matter what he says.
Instead of wasting time to go after Rush one should just look at how stupid Americans are. That's his formula for continued success.

It was the type of people who never listen to Limbaugh in the first place who called for the boycott. How do you boycott something you don't patronize?
The advertisers go where the money is. Some may have pulled out to make it look good but eventually they'll go back to Limbaugh when the storm-in-a-teacup is over.

It's interesting how Bill Maher gets a free pass from the "outraged" liberals and feminists for his misogyny. hmm
Forrest Gump sums it up pretty well: "Stupid is as stupid does."
I'm personally against Rush Limbaugh continuing to be on the air, but as an educated adult, I know that there is a legion of people out there that just love this guy and that's all radio is, is entertainment. If you think anything else you are delusional. They are "the peoples' airwaves", but run by corporations whose interest is to make money and Rush makes money. End of story. If anybody remembers Tom Leykis, that guy said some pretty awful stuff about women too over the years, but a certain segment of society ate that s*** up with a spoon and a cherry on top. I have no idea where he is now, but he eventually went away. Rush will too when the Florida "pain management" clinics run out of oxy...
But my opinion is and was not "astro-turfed" in any way. I have no shadowy left-wing billionaire George Soros funded backers telling me what to say, although I welcome all offers...
Why would anyone spend advertizing money on Rush's show anyway. I figure the average Rush listener is stting around the trailer sucking back his 6th beer of the day and wondering where he is going to get $7 for his next 6 pack. I'd really be interested in seeing the demographics of just who it is that listens to this complete inane garbage. Since it's in the middle of the day I assume these people don't work or not much anyway. The fact they can even listen to crap that a normal person would consider torture if forced to listen, really makes me wonder.
