Aren't pools the result of all those robocalls and even the 'personal' calls I have been getting for more than a year?

I hang up on all of them and have yet to answer one question. I'm sure I'm not alone and I think most people with a life ignore those calls. So do we skew the results of the polls?

Not unless everyone who was non-responsive shared the exact same opinion.

I have never received a polling call either. But the robocalls are fast and furious. I've had six so far today and it's only 2:20PM.

Well considering that a proper sample size for the U.S. is 1,000 or less and there are 237,657,645 voting age residents your chance of being called for any one poll is 1 in 237,657.

I understand that, but how many polls have been done since I turned 18 in 1996? Never gotten a Robo-call either, but I suppose that's because the last time Georgia went blue was 1992 for Clinton.

I voted for the first time in 1972. I'm 60 years old and I _ _ _ _ you not but TODAY was the first time I have ever been polled for a national election.

PS - think of the lottery, your odds don't improve the more you play. You have the same odds in each lottery that you play. The same with polls.

I suppose. Good point. Kind of disappointing though. I've kind of always wanted to get one of those calls

I have been receiving Robo poll calls for the past few weeks. I received 4 already today! Same questions: Gender, Age, Race, Vote Early?, Vote tomorrow?, Political Affiliation, Who will you vote for?
I now answer every one differently
Dont put much faith in polls!

It wasn't all that exciting. Generally speaking, I automatically hang up as soon as I hear any kind of artificial voice on the other end but I was wonder if it was a push poll so I went through the process. It was like trying to reach customer service.

If you intend to vote press #1

If you are between the ages of 18-14 press #2

If you are an everyday dimwit press #5

etc, etc.
