I used to get the same briefing in Ft. Benning, Ga. For what, i don't know. I always had enough wits about me to know where i was at all times. I rarely if ever had any trouble, and most white people down there were cool anyway. Even if they're flat out racist, they'd at least extend common courtesy.

Agree. My uncle is stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY and says the same thing. Usually the area right around the bases are fine, it is once you get father away from the bases the potential for trouble goes up in the more rural states.
