I love how when someone on the left makes an error or suddenly becomes a liability they're immediately cast out and turned on like a pack of wolves. Zero loyalty. The right has their screwballs who misspeak but they at least protect them. Each in its own way is bad, I guess.
Maybe Ann only had one Cadillac back when her kids were in school. 5 kids and then Ann driving. Couldn't have been easy getting all of them there in the pre-Escalade era. My god, can you imagine the suffering on the way to school? "Scoot over." "No, you scoot over!!!" Poor Romneys!!!!

I guess you haven't been following the purges at National Review and other conservative journals as of late.
I wasn't aware Ann Romney was running for any office.
Well, apparently her husband relies on her to tell him what women think about the economy.
I wonder how many bills she's had to juggle in her lifetime?
I remember, as a single working mom (like Mrs. Mittens, I, too, have five sons), having monthly day care costs that were more than my monthly house payment. I'm sure Anne knows all about that.
I wonder if she's ever even had to write out a check?

If I were curious about what Fishermen thought of the economy, I might ask a fisherman. The fisherman would not need to have a degree in economics or even the ability to balance a checkbook to relay information any more than I'd need a degree in English Literature to move a book from one place to another.
If you were curious about scuba divers' opinions on the economy, who would you ask?
I am not a Romney supporter and have no intent to vote for him but his wife's employment status is of no more concern to me than anyone else's.
I can't remember where I read this; but years ago I read that a homemaker was an executive. Or maybe I saw it in a TV program where a husband left his educated wife and she went to a head hunter to try and find a way to feed her family. The personnel specialist took all the things she had learned about management and it translated into a top executive talent. She got the job and was very successful at it. No it was not easy, but managing a home and keeping it going is not easy either. I have been both a stay-at-home mom and an employee and the stay-at-home job was much harder than working for the public and ordering in when time did not allow for cooking meals and getting to the ball game too.
I agree with the news lady that said the government needs to get a panel of stay-at-home moms and let them work on the national budget. I will be the first to volunteer for that. I remember when I was staying home and managing the budget and after the necessary expenses we had $7 to work with any unexpected expenses that might come up and by the grace of God, we made it.
One thing you know for sure as a homemaker is that unless you spend less than you have in the bank, pretty soon you won't be eating anything and bounced checks are very expensive. Wonder when the president and people in congress are going to learn this. No man is going to get rich unless he has a good partner in his wife to co-operate with the program. Many rich men have been brought to their knees by bimbos that don't care for anyone but themselves.

I have been a stay-at-home mom and I have been a single working mom. They both have their unique challenges.
However, do you really think Anne Romney was your typical stay-at-home mom? I don't buy that there was no household help of some kind. I doubt very, very much that Anne Romney had to come home from a full day of running her kids around to games and other activities, just to throw a quick dinner together, wash dishes, and then do laundry.
I doubt Ann Romney had a house staff. She raised those kids herself and has spoken about it often. When she became ill, she may have hired help, I don't know that for sure.
She and Mitt claimed 5 housekeepers on their taxes.
Why, if it's "the most important job in the world" [hurl] does it then pay nothing?
I cannot believe you said the bold. I'm sorry, Zen, raising kids is the most important job in the world. They're the next generation of financiers, engineers, doctors, nurses and yes, child care workers. My daughter got paid $10.40/hr for working as a child care worker at a day care center. For a 24/7/52 job, that would run, oh, about, $90K/year.
