Yes it is amazing how most people that weren't even alive in 1960 have a different perception of reality than grown people from that era. Your obviously not one of those people.
As for race changing operations, Michael Jackson already made that happen, and black people still defended him to his grave and acted like him dying was the death of a savior, even though he was a pathetic homosexual child molester and abuser who hated black people and tried his whole life to distance himself from black people and become a white man.
Regardless of MJ's color, his DNA didn't change so he was still a black man So she was wrong for telling him that he has a problem with himself, but you are totally right with saying that MJ hated black people?

It's a strange world indeed when non-blacks are pouring out their hearts to a black person that no longer wants to be black. "Awwww...you don't have to be black anymore! Did those poor kneegrows over there hurt your feelings? No problem...you're with us now!"
I mean, this thread is macabre, that's for sure. But like i said, i'm glad that we've finally reached the day when we FINALLY have white people's permission to be any race we want to be because i was really scared that i'd have to go through life as a black man for the rest of my life.

It seems that some folks have many more issues than the OP. Maybe start your own Vent thread....and quit hijacking this one for your own issues. The OP has a valid point, and many folks are willing to offer their input.........as a participant you are either part of the solution or part of the problem, I thank the latter applies in this case.

You don't like the physical characteristics os african americans. You just stereotyped,yet you hate it when others do it to you.
Otoh,there are dark skinned Arabs like me. You don't get out too much obviously.
So, because I find African women generally better looking than I do black American women, that means I have something against the "physical characteristics of African Americans"? Ok.
Being overweight, with a head full of more extensions than Verizon and fake nails, fake eyes...fake everything and looking a mess is not an ethnic thing. It is an awful, not politically correct truth: Pure black American women are generally ugly and don't take care of themselves. African girls? They actually eat right and exercise. Mixed girls are the same way. But pure black American ghetto booty chicks? They are simply nasty.
Also, they have a bad attitude. They are loud, rude, and terrified of the prospect of work. What oh what would I have in common with the average gangsta Barbie? We certainly couldn't talk about books or history or politics. And music? I can't stand all that Gangstalicious crap. I love classic R&B and Soul, and love Ray Charles, but modern black American music makes me vomit.
In short, I can't see what the appeal of black American women is and I am simply not interested in them. Besides, they tend to fall for the dark skinned, muscular fellows with names like "Tyrone" and "Malik" anyway.
You really are preaching to the choir here. The specific attitudes regarding the OP's issue really is very regional. For example, on the West Coast we really do not care who wants to identify as biracial or multiracial. It does not matter as much out here as it does on the East Coast or in the South.
I personally could care less if the OP wants to consider himself multiracial, biracial, triracial, Black, African American or Soul Brother #1....none of it really matters. There are MANY Americans of varying percentages of African ancestry who chose to identify as such. Some are able to "pass" for White, others are not. The issue goes beyond just ones own coloring. A person who looks White visually may have an entire family (mother or father, aunts or uncles, brothers or sisters, etc) that is quite dark skinned (and obviously Black)...are they supposed to leave their dark skinned relatives in a closet somewhere?

This thread is now descending into anger and polarization of two distinct sides of the issue.

Easy there. Not all Black women; even dark skin ones, are loud mouth, sloppy hood rats. I prefer anglo white women but there are a few Black ladies I'd go out with. Saw 1 the other day; she was slightly fat, braids, dark with a 2 year old son. She looked ghetto till she opened her mouth; soft spoken who was treating her little boy like a human. Then she started looking pretty good to me as a PERSON.
I'm a red headed white guy of Irish family, I'm NOT Black. Tyrone is also a good Irish name. Tho many people with Irish last names today ARE Black.
When oh when did I ever say I don't want to have black blood in my veins? Or, for that matter, when did I say I want to disassociate myself from blacks all together?
Yes, I have black blood in me and yes I am of black heritage. I am proud of being black...and also proud of being Italian. Why can't I be both?
If I was born of two black parents, I would be black exclusively, but I am not. Granted, my mother was an awful person, but her family was nice and a part of my heritage is in Italy....so I should be "ashamed" of my white side?
Mixed people are not black, and shouldn't be ashamed of having white, Asian or whatever is is in them other than black. I swear, it's like some black people are the African version of National Socialists: no white music, no white culture, and if you have white in you, hate it with every fiber of your being and only through your own self hatred can you be a part of the "black community."

Do you not understand that you are being just like everyone else that somehow finds it "fascinating" or "unique" to express how they have "other" ethnicities in them other than Black? Don't you see how that is simply retarded?

Thank you for understanding...but I have to say, if one is mixed, ONE IS NOT BLACK, at least not entirely. Someone can stand there, with brown skin and straight hair, raised by their white parents and say "no, I'm 100% black" and guess what? They're full of S***!
If this was South Africa, watch how quickly their "African brothers" would lop their mulatto heads off with a machete. If they were in Haiti after the revolution, their "fellow blacks" would kill them unless they made a quick dash to the other side of the Island...ever wonder why they're so many brown people in the Dominican Republic? A lot of them are the descendants of the mulattoes who fled the sporadic ethnic cleansing that happened in Haiti.
I am sorry, but if I saw a mixed person saying they weren't anything but white, they would be labeled a self hater, and rightfully so...but they say they are all black all the time, and nobody says anything.
And what about black and something other than white? Is a black and Korean girl (like this chick I was crushing on for awhile) not Korean? Even if she speaks the language fluently?
Let's face it: blacks can be just as racist as whites. If you don't hate the white side of you with a passion, a huge chunk of the black community will hate you if you're mixed.
People have tried to explain to you in this thread why it is possible to be Black even though you are mixed. People choose to identify however they want to and that is why it really isn't a big deal for you to do so, but the problem is all the other feelings and views you threw into your post.
Let me ask you: Since I am not completely African/Negroid, yet have obvious Black features, does that mean it makes sense for me to go around identifying myself as Native American or White? Hell no! I'm Black damn it! LOL That is what I identify as and with. I can't even imagine trying to tell people that I am PRIMARILY something other than Black.

Many of us happen to disagree with some or all of his stance on the topic. We are all entitled to voice our own opinions and express our own experiences regarding the issue. I'm quite certain that he didn't create the thread in order to have everyone simply agree with him.
