IG recommends the program be stopped.

Obama green jobs program faces further investigation

Quote:
House Republicans are expanding their probe into the Obama administration's energy programs, investigating $500 million in green job training grants that placed just 10% of trainees in jobs, according to a government report.

The program's goal was to train 124,893 people and put 79,854 in jobs. But 17 months later, 52,762 were trained and 8,035, or roughly 1 in 10, had jobs. Those numbers come from an audit by the Department of Labor's inspector general, which recommended that the administration end the program and return unspent money.
Hear that? STOP the continued waste of taxpayer money.

Didn't obama's first campaign ad tout he created 2-3 MILLION green jobs?

Bwhahahahha!

This goes hand in hand with obama's "subsidies"...you know, the ones that are going bankrupt right and left?

Will obama ignore this recommendation, just like he's ignored all the rest? Probably.

Another stimulus FAILURE.

They still don't even know how to define a "green" job to begin with. That should have been a good starting point. This was the big jobs plan they went with when the stimulous was put out and swooners still to this day claim the stimulous was a success.

Correction:
It's not a "continued waste of taxpayer money",but an outright scam and theft of taxpayer money.

I'm already skeptical of the article: 8035/52762 = ~10%? Really?

1 in 10 vs. 1 in 8 vs. 1 in 7. BFD.

"But Assistant Secretary of Labor Jane Oates defends the initiative, saying the inspector general's audit used old numbers and that it was never designed to provide immediate results."

But I thought they screamed about all the "shovel ready" jobs?? LOL. What complete liars and morons.

Obama was referring to the shovel fulls of taxpayer money which would be transfered into the bank accounts of those where were major 2008 campaign donors/bundlers for himself and the DNC.

So the goal was to put 64% in jobs.

In reality, "roughly 1 in 10" had jobs.

What are you skeptical about? Whether it's 1 in 10 or 1 in 20, the obama's green job program was/is an abysmal failure.

Agreed?
