My hero? I'm not voting for Obama. Don't accuse principled posters of your pure partisan dishonesty.

Obama doesn't have an effect on gas prices. Your GOP candidate will not have an effect on gas prices.

Sorry the truth hurts you.

because that will make a difference at the pump!

Under the Carter administration, gas prices increased by 103.77 percent. Gas prices since Obama took office have risen by 103.79 percent.
No other presidents in recent years have struggled as much with soaring oil prices.
Under the Reagan administration, gas prices actually dropped 66 percent.

When Bill Clinton was president, gas prices grew by roughly 30 percent, and under both Bush presidencies, gas prices rose by 20 percent.

That is Nixon dropping us from the gold standard, and the fed cranking up the printing presses. The oil tycoons are not stupid. It does not cost any more in gold.... Actually it is cheaper now than in the 50's if you pay with gold. It is the paper money that buys less everyday, that makes fuel look like it is going up and up.

Creating havoc, crisis and preemptive wars, all over the world, to hide the printing press from the idiots that have no clue.

EDIT:

Gas prices under Reagan dropped from the oil embargo days of Carter, and stayed consistent in the 70¢ a gal range.
Clinton took the reigns and gas was @ $1 a gallon when he left. That is about 30%
Bush took over and had a rush to $4 a gallon and the back to $1.80 a gallon That is about 80%
Now Obama... I'm paying $4 a gallon for diesel, when diesel use to be .50¢ a gallon cheaper than unleaded gas. That is 100%+ increase
