Low-and middle-income families would pay a bit more under Romney’s tax plan, but high-income families would pay a lot less. Taxes would also fall far short of spending.
A realistic estimate of federal spending over the next decade is in the 22-23 percent of GDP range.
Romney’s revenues are five to six points below that, and because Romney has promised to balance the budget without cutting defense spending, he would have to cut every domestic spending program, including Social Security and Medicare, by more than 35 percent to make his numbers work.
Are you in favor of Romney cutting Social Security and Medicare, by more than 35 percent to make his numbers work?
I would be against those cuts because of my own situation, but then I am against the desire to cut Medicare by $50 billion per year from Obama in order to fund Obamacare, too.
Perhaps Romney will utilize his experience gained from cutting benefits in the private sector, to sell Americans on the virtues of cutting Social Security and Medicare, by more than 35 percent.

Actually walidm, he could cut some budgets by 100%, and thus not have to cut others by 35%. A straight 35% across the board cut was never proposed so the question is hogwash until its actually a proposal and not make believe.

Or you could simply stop making up figures out of your butt or start questioning the accuracy of things you read.
Hell no, military spending is the #1 thing that needs huge cuts.
He's stated he won't cut defense spending so it looks like he would have to cut every domestic spending program, including Social Security and Medicare, by more than 35 percent to make his numbers work. - Source

Can't you even TRY to argue honestly instead of spreading false statements?
Romney: "by funding Obamacare through $500 billion In Medicare cuts for today’s seniors?" Politifact ruling:
Quote:
The bill doesn't take money out of the current Medicare budget but, rather, attempts to slow the program's future growth, curtailing just over $500 billion in anticipated spending increases over the next 10 years. Medicare spending will still increase, however. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projects Medicare spending will reach $929 billion in 2020, up from $499 billion in actual spending in 2009.

Is that not taking $50B a year away? What part did they say that was a false statement?
Furthermore, why arent you addressing the OP's untrue statement that Romeny would cut Social Security and Medicare by more than 35%? I mean if you are trying to be honest, then be honest and not one sided.

Even after I corrected you, you come back and repeate the same old nonsense. Is it your inability to comprehend that one can cut budget A by 100%, and thus not need to cut budget B by 35%, or is it because elementary math proves your theory wrong and thus you dont wish to address your (or your sources) error?
