So basically you mean a guy who is all smoke and mirrors? Because the substance is lacking when it comes to doing anything meaningful.

Vowing in 2008 to ‘launch the most sweeping ethics reform in US history’ Obama said that if elected he would ‘make government more open, more accountable and more responsive to the problems of the American people’.

In his State of the Union speech in January, Obama bemoaned the ‘corrosive influence of money in politics’. The following month, he reversed course and announced he was allowing cabinet members and top advisors to speak at big money events for so-called super PACs – unaccountable outside groups raising money for his re-election.

During the 2008 election, Obama abandoned a pledge to opt for public funding of his campaign, instead opting to raise an unlimited amount privately. He then raised and spent approximately $730million, almost double the campaign funds of Senator John McCain, his Republican opponent."

More lies from the orator.
Basically this just amplifies the hypocrisy on the left. But of course, we have seen the Bush blamers and deflectors appear here on this thread while ignoring the fact that their guy made all of these promises and has failed to live up to them. It just makes the left wingers appear to be more of a joke than they already are.

That is the problem they don't appear to understand (among many others). Obama was going to be different, he was going to change the way politicians acted, open up the government, become transparent, every bill would be put up for all to see, no lobbyists on and on he went. And every one of his "promises" has turned out to be a bald faced lie and the swooners keep swooning right along by his side as if it he never said any of those things.

Did you complain anout this when Bush and Reagan did this? I bet not. Will you complain when the next republican president does this in his reelection bid? Probably not. Do you get the hypocrisy?

Of course having more than twice as many fundraisers while ignoring the illegal activities of those in his administration has nothing to do with any complaints, right?

Not jealous, just rightly concerned that he may get re-elected and continue doing harm to the nation.

It's called "permanent campaigning" and it isn't unique to Obama. And the only reason that you and others are complaining about it now is because it's Obama doing it.

For example, even in 2001 Bush was already campaigning for the next election:

"This latest two-day trip of George W. Bush is his fourth to Florida, a state critical to his re-election. It is becoming to this Republican president what California was to Bill Clinton - acquiring a most-favored-state status as the White House looks ahead two, and, more important, four years from now. Of course, all presidents have their eye on the next election from the day they take office, and heavy use of Air Force One is a key component of re-election strategy. But so far, President Bush is out-flying even his peripatetic predecessor, visiting 30 states (not counting Maryland, home of Camp David) in less than five months."

Bush's travel itinerary - surprise! - is to swing states / The Christian Science Monitor - CSMonitor.com
How many of those speeches had Bush made in 2004 at this time compared to the number Obama has made so far this year. What was it 47 - 124? How much does it cost just to fire up Air Force One for one of those speeches? That could be part of the reason Obama is so bound to have us believe that his campaign trips are for business.

You mean the 47 times Bush did this in 2004 as compared to 124 so far from Obama? I guess not but then the difference between those numbers is 77 and you can't see that.

Thank Citizen effing United. Of course he's doing more fundraisers than any other president. No other president has had to go up against a projected $800M campaign from the challenger.

This President is disgusting, he does not know the personal responsibility and what it means, all he is good for, is making jokes, being on late nite tv, pointing the finger at everyone but himself, and not taking responsibility for his screw ups. Gag me no respect for someone who blames everyone but himself for his own errors.
I think he thinks he is a legend in everyone's mind, guess he did not get the memo!
He's nothing but a ghetto pimp.
