The Director of the NIDA Nora Volkow (interestingly Trotsky's granddaughter), who is studying the neurological effects of dopamine and addiction, groups food in with hard drugs and alcohol, as they have the same dopamine effect on the brain for some people.

Oh please ****! That is the problem with Americans and these intellectuals. Of course food has the same effect on the brain as drugs and alcohol. DOH!!!!!!! You don't need a billion dollar budget to realize that. You know what else does too? SHOPPING, Xtreme sports, Sex/porn, and just about EVERYTHING else that we as human beings spend our time doing. All those kids that are incessently playing video games 8 hours a day? Guess what? They are changing their brain chemistry. I'm sure all of us talking on cell phones are changing our brain chemistry too. Our communities and human interactions sure as heck are changing because of it.

You see when I was a kid I was so active I could eat whatever I wanted. I was so damn active I didn't have time to sit around and down a bag of chips. If I did a few minutes later I probably just peddled an hour to my friend's house where we spent the rest of the day building forts, running through the creek, and or playing "army". And when I wasn't doing that stuff after school I was playing sports on the weekends. And guess what when I wasn't doing THAT stuff I was raking leaves, mowing grass, at my grandfather's property. And when I wasn't doing that stuff I was in the Boy Scouts backpacking, hiking, and what not. I probably rode more miles on my bike as a kid than Lance Armstrong has in his entire career. Seriously....PEOPLE ARE FAT BECAUSE THEY DON'T MOVE!!!!!!!!!! FUTURE GENERATIONS ARE GOING TO BE FAT BECAUSE THEY ARE INACTIVE AND LAZY KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!

And you know what the carry over effect was from all those times my parents had the nerve to tel me to get up off my butt and go outside because it was a nice day out...........My set point of my adult metabolism is so high I can still eat whatever I want and stay a lean 200lbs at 6'5. And guess what else? I can't stand sitting around.......I want to be outside, working out, running, biking, backpacking, hell even working in my yard.

People are fat because we drive everywhere, we microwave everything, and we sit on our fat rear ends all day and then we buy our kids all the latest and greatest technology and let them do the same thing.

So yeah you bet your fat lard a#@es this behavior changes 'brain chemistry". LOL..........

Oh and one other thing.....in winter time my parents actually made me shovel our driveway and shovel our neighbor's driveway because they were elderly. And when we got done shoveling our drive way we went out into the woods and cleared off the local pond and played hockey all damn day! WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO EAT!!!!!! We were 1980s KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you like it.
I haven't examined yours since I'm not an insurer. So I don't care. And unless you are MY insurer - no you can't inspect my life.

But if something I do deserves higher costs - at an intellectual level I am likely to be OK with it. I am NOT ok with spreading costs around which seems to be what you are asking society to do on issues like this. You want to be fat, but you don't want to pay the price for it.

I drive certain cars. Some cost more to insure than others. I made those choices and am OK with it. I pay gas taxes, which means if I use more fuel (by choice of course) I pay more taxes.

Do you want to talk about airline seats?

I'm telling you..they are doing something with the clothes. My weight has NOT changed yet I have to buy smaller size clothes now to get the same fit. They seem to be cutting clothing bigger over the past 5 years. It's called "vanity sizing" to keep women feeling good about themselves.

I've seen that too. My mom and I both wore size 6/8 for years. Now, we're suddenly in size 2/4 and sometimes size 0. I haven't changed sizes, so it's the clothes.

I guarantee you will be paying for the "right to eat whatever you want and do whatever you want!"

I get annoyed when I have to pay extra at the airline check in because my suitcase is a few pounds over 50 and I weigh 140. Yet the 300+ woman whose suitcase is 49 pounds, pays no extra. Does that make sense?

I'm simply pointing out that if one behavior can be identified as being "in need" of compulsory reform in the name of reduced costs, so can ANY behavior.

But, nobody wants to see that. All most people want is their prejudices validated by "research" which proves it's costing them a little more for somebody to be different and action taken to correct someone else's perceived failures. They never stop to think that something THEY are doing could be defined the same way and the same measures applied to them.

The prejudice, arrogance, selfishness and myopia of the health nuts is the greatest threat to our liberty right now.
