I generally support Democrats, but this is one area where I disagree with their policies. The U.S. needs to dramatically lower business taxes. If countries with strong social safety nets like Ireland and Austria can do it, certainly, we can too.

Countries with the highest business taxes:

1. United States
2. Japan
3. France

As a liberal, I am all for lowering taxes on business. It is taxes on the billionaires that I think is too low and needs to be raised.

We really don't need to tax since we can print money.

Article is misleading, and the conclusion is flat-out wrong. Very few businesses pay the marginal tax rate.

Totally with you. Some argue that we shouldn't tax the "job creators". The job creators aren't individual billionaires, they're businesses.

Yea, but then you get into an argument about statuatory vs effective tax rates, and it becomes clear that Republicans don't want businesses to pay ANY taxes whatsoever.

When Obama proposed cutting the corporate tax rate to 28% back in February, the Republicans actually got angrier and called it a tax hike. LMAO...there is a thread here in C-D...read it for proof.

Lower the tax rate and eliminate the loopholes, rebates and schemes that allow companies like GE to pay 0 taxes.

There are significant barriers to entry for people seeking to go into business for themselves. Taxes are like pouring salt into that gaping wound should one succeed to get off the ground to begin with. Business tax policies are stifling, as are state and local business taxes and fees. Ask anyone whose ever aspired to own a business. The hurdles are immense.
