I never heard ANYBODY give a flying f***K about Dwight D. Eisenhower's, John F. Kennedy's, Lydon B. Johnson's, Richard Nixon's, Gerald R. Ford's, Jimmy Carter's, Ronald Reagan's, George H.W. Bush's, Bill Clinton's or George W. Bush Jr.'s college records. People were perfectly happy knowing which schools these presidents went to and that they graduated. Now you have the first non-White president and people want to read every line of his damn transcripts.
Who on your list was also a first-term Senator without any military experience or any real accomplishments in government or the private sector?
Since Obama has accomplished nothing in three and a half years as president and seems to have accomplished little before that, his academic achievements have naturally zcome into question.

I don't know what's so "natural" about this. When some of Perry's grades were released, they were brushed off as irrelevant because his schooling was decades in the past. Despite what you think about Obama, he practiced law, taught at the U of Chicago, and was an Illinois state senator and a US senator before being elected president. Bush II was another one with no real military service, had a history of alcoholism, and was a failed businessman.
I know people think there is something nefarious about his transcripts like they show he's from another planet or something but my money is on - He flunked Economics.

The obvious answers are that his college grades are his business and that what he did as an undergrad 30 years ago has no bearing on his Presidency now.
But Romneys tax records from 20 years ago are critical to the segment of the population who wouldn't vote for him regardless.
How do we know? The only sure way is to review an official transcript. I have seen the commencement brochures and believe he did, but they could have made a mistake.
I personally don't care about grades. I think the FBI or some other agency should review every candidate's statements concerning education and issue a simple up/down ruling. "Yes he graduated from the college with a degree in ____ as he claimed." End of discussion.
