Default The Progressive's war against Christianity in any form

Is there a reason the OP is singling out one particular branch/denomination?

Considering this is the First Church of Mammon on Earth I think all of their commercial investments and businness interest derived income and property should be taxed. The church property used for worship and contributions should, like other churches, be exempt.

Why is the OP asking this question? The poll choices clearly show a specific slant against the Mormon church.

if churches and religions are going to be forced to pay income taxes, then all sciences and global/climate change groups should not have anything to do with any political policy as well.

I agree with this. I too have questioned the extent and reach of church-related activities when it comes to tax exemptions. I'm not a tax professional or a church accountant, but I have witnessed aviation operations consisting of multiple aircraft by several churches. Everytime I see it I wonder if they do so under the auspices of tax-exempt worship-related activities? The same goes for mega-publishing houses owned and operated by churches. Are they tax-exempt as well?

I'm all for property, worship, and contribution tax exemption, but I do question the need for exemptions beyond that.

Religious institutions should not be treated any differently than ANY other organization of people.

Three guess and the first two don't count.

I think all church owned profit making ventures should be taxed. Not the sanctuary, or non profit charities.
Too many "churches" have businesses, and those businesses need to be taxed on their profits just like all other businesses.

The choices don't make any sense. I agree that all churches should be taxed, but the last choice, which says "No, all churches should have to pay taxes", is a statement that the Mormon church should not be taxed.

I do not, as a matter of public policy, think the government can or should tax churches more heavily than other companies, but I do not think they should get the preferential treatment they get now.
