Tell me about it! I went through the same crap when APEC held their conference in Honolulu last year. Part of Honolulu was on lock down, it looked and felt like a Police State.

It's highly annoying, but then when you have insane occupy & ruckus types running around, what are you going to do? Obama had two fundraisers in Bellevue WA, not far from where I live, and there were loud helicopters buzzing overhead all day long. Doesn't really bother me if that is what they think is necessary to ensure his well-being. God forbid that we get Pres. Joe.

I cannot comment on NATO, but we are the "human Resources" of groups like APEC. Guess who pays for the security of these groups? It's taxpayers. These uber-wealthy billionaires make the plebs pay for their own security.
