I guess this would fit into the category "other controversies". I'm curious to know when, at what age, does people think it's okay to become sexually active? Do you think one should be married first? Also, did you yourself follow your own beliefs regarding age and marital status when becoming sexually active?

It's up to each individual, though there are laws governing "age of consent."
No dried-and-cut answer - people mature at different rates, but clearly there has to be informed consent.
As for marriage, I do feel that sex is so intimate, there should at least be an established relationship - but if other adults choose to boink outside of one, it neither breaks my bones nor pick my pocket, so why should I care? So long as they don’t do it in the streets and frighten the horses, as the quote goes.
Kindergarten & elementary school has been chosen as the proving grounds for this "new" concept in education & political correctness! dress however you want! have sex whenever you want with who ever you want in group sessions or experimental options in other areas.
Marriage is between one man and one woman for life for pro-creation and continuation of the family unit which is the backbone of civilization!
Two sides of the coin - choose carefully - you will be judged later on your actions!
Male. It did not start with me until I was 18. People assume if you have a lot of girls around that you must be having a lot of sex. It was the already sexually active female that took my virginity. She said "You are really good, it must be from all the practice that you have with all those other girls"...I had no practice- sex was natural. I would not suggest pushing to have sex early- Emotional connections form and your life can be altered forever.
There are modern reports that kids are having sex earlier- I don't believe this. If I could get back in time I would have run for the hills from that first woman..I ended up living with her for a number of years- dropped out of school...which was fine for her- seeing she was from a very wealthy family- for me it - well- altered if not ruin my life- My future took a turn for the worst...What if I had not got involoved?
Finally this girl dumped me..From there on I was in search of love- cos' I thought I knew what love was- I knew what sex was - that was it- I played music and slept with well over 120 woman- It was not a good idea....Love first- sex later....SEX is powerful and can bring about changes that are not in your best interest- It's like a drug...addictive...
Love is important...and it has to go both ways...just because you love someone does not mean they automatically love you. BE CAREFUL
Biologically or socially? Because those two timeframes are way apart here in the 21st century...
