I came across this interview and thought some people on here might be interested.

BBC News - Hardtalk - Are American Jews fed up with Israel?

"American presidents have long been criticised for being too in thrall to the Jewish lobby. So what happens if American Jews fall out of love with Israel?
That's what the Jewish American academic Norman Finkelstein claims is happening. He says they are now so unhappy with what Israel is doing that they want to distance themselves from the country.
Could he be right and if he is, what does that mean for America's Middle East policy?"

I did a thread not that long ago on that subject.

American Council for Judaism: There is no "Jewish vote"

Seems my Jewish friends have become less and less interested in Israel. The younger generation of Jews in America is less and less interested in Israel.

However both the Democratic and Republican Parties are still in thrall to AIPAC.
