The state budget shortfall in California has increased dramatically in the last six months, forcing state officials to assemble a series of new spending cuts that are likely to mean further reductions to schools, health care and other social programs already battered by nearly five years of budget retrenchment, state officials announced on Saturday.
Gov. Jerry Brown, disclosing the development in a video posted on YouTube, said that California’s shortfall was now projected to be $16 billion, up from $9.2 billion in January. Mr. Brown said that he would propose a revised budget on Monday to deal with it.
“We are now facing a $16 billion hole, not the $9 billion we thought in January,” Mr. Brown said. “This means we will have to go much further and make cuts far greater than I asked for at the beginning of the year.”
I remember Jerry Brown running AGAINST cuts and he still did the cuts and looks like is cutting again... I guess another liberal doesn't believe in socialists ideals to solve problems... these socialists are just plain idiots..
And the article clearly says that more cuts will be made to deal with the problem. What the F do you haters want? Oh wait, I know. You either want everyone in California to die, or you just want to complain about California until YOU die.
They figure the federal government will just bail them out, sort of like a spoiled teenager that over charged their daddy's Visa card; they just run out to the mall and splurge again.
Brown goes on to blame the Federal Government for the requirements for SOCIAL PROGRAMS... I find it funny that liberals don't believe the BS they say but say it anyways... what's that Brown? You love Obamacare? What's that? Its breaking your bank and its the Feds fault? But didn't you support it? Idiots...
