I understand the reasoning now. Court said viewing is not possession. To Possess something you have to procure it. The dude was still found guilt on the zillion other counts
It's not about right and wrong, it's about whether viewing something is the same as possessing it, and clearly it's not. The state can make viewing porn illegal if it wants to, but you can't put someone in jail for "possessing" something that they didn't possess.
Seriously! What is the world coming to? Do we have no concept of right and wrong anymore?
Let's assume it's illegal to view flood damaged property:
