Bill is an atheist so it's not religious bigotry....more like mocking his dumb religion...
Uhhh...atheists can be bigots too and, yes, I think calling it "religious bigotry" is proper given that he's demonstrating that he's bigoted towards people who practice a religion, presumably because he has a problem with that religion.
On wikipedia (I know it's not exactly reliable, but nevertheless I did a quick search), "religious bigotry" redirects to "religious persecution." "Religious bigotry" is defined on the page as "the denigration of practitioner's religions other than those of the oppressors." That would apply. Bill Maher is not a Mormon. The fact that he is an atheist, IMO, does not mean he does not have an "other religion" from Mormonism.
