I have never seen a black man mocked by other black people for taking a role in their childs lives.

What a dumb post. Ridiculed for what, doing the right thing, and taking a active part in their children's lifes. Do White men get ridiculed as well.
My friends are very educated, good mannered, good natured, smart, good looking, and yes with their wife, take very good care of their chidlren, a very active role in their lifes, to help shape them now as they are small, to become good hard working independent adults.
And the friends that they have who i also know who are black, would never ridicule them for something like this, because they too are active in raisiing their children, and very much a part of their life. We have to stop the stereotyping, all people are not the same, nor do they all think the same.
If people were to ridicule black men for taking a active role in their children's lives, that is plain ignorant.
