I don't see how it's relevant to that person blaming Obama for not creating jobs. I supposed he could walk into Congress and beat some people up and get them working on making some jobs. I see what people here want. They want a magic Obama to make jobs. To pul 'em out of a hat.
Obama needs to get government out of the way and create a business friendly environment.
I've also heard that many millennials are showing up to interviews without suits. I was complemented on nearly all occasions for not dressing down. Just seemed natural to me to wear one. If I were a hiring manager, it would probably be a big deal.
Also, I've heard that not all stretches of UE are bad. One guy I know who was laid off bicycled cross country and blogged/photographed it. When he explained his UE stretch to the employer, he was immediately hired based on character and will of completing the journey alone.
This is a lie.
There is no skill crisis. We had full employment 6 years ago. What makes things different now? And to add, tons of educated people are unemployed.

I have not seen one unemployed person in the comp sci or engineering field in this immediate area, even the ones over 40 or 50.
Many who are unemployed are in construction and finance. They simply aren't needed when an artificial housing bubble is popped and the Wall St. derivatives/hedge fund casino shutters. Also, the overwhelming amount of UE are 20 somethings who wasted their 5-6 years in college and have paper degrees in areas no one has a demand for.
I don't pay that much attention to the UE report anymore. I consider it propaganda now.
Shadowstats shows about 23% which is so far removed from the official number that it isn't funny anymore.
Exactly. There are so many unemployed that don't get counted, for various reasons.

I never knew everybody could become software engineers.
