No they aren't, they originally by the ambulance. At the end where they are free they are on the median.

It most certainly impedes traffic if you are a news reporter with a cameraman standing in the middle of the road.

They were not in "the middle of the road" - they were in the median strip.

I voted for your mayor for VP and I wish that she had ran for president during this current election - that doesn't mean that I have to support your ridiculous definitions.

When they get arrested it appears to me they are on a sidewalk. The inside part is a cutout for drop off or ambulance parking, it's not a street. At the end of the video they are the median which apparently is OK with the officer.........

How does a reporter and cameraman standing on a sidewalk impede traffic?

Regarding the First Amendment thing, he was basically correct, if you are "inciting" you can NOT say whatever you want on a public street.

The reporters were in no way inciting, now the scene created by the cop could be.
It is more than just what is said. In this case they were referring to the freedom of the press under the First Amendment. That freedom does not permit slander or libel, and it does not give the press the freedom to go where ever they please.

If law enforcement deems that they are impeding traffic, and gives them a lawful order to move, they had better comply or be prepared to be cited with a misdemeanor.

Savoire Faire, thanks for the link. They are on the median, there is two of them. That's not a sidewalk.

LOL - Glitch lives in a place where a moose(which I am one - the "human" Order of the Moose (Moose International) are common visitors to sidewalks - so I don't understand how he can justify this claim.

So if a cop says so it must be right? Do as your told and never question authority, no matter what.
