Nope... and I guess you're forgetting that a large percentage of "the rich" vote Democrat.

If not, then i'm not sure you actually lean liberal.
I do, sorry. We just don't all have one brain, and can lean liberal on most issues without following your playbook. I don't care what people earn, as I'm too concerned about my own finances right now.

No problem with rich people being rich. I'm in a higher marginal tax bracket than most people in the nation, conservative or liberal. We need successful rich people.

I just think they should pay their fair share in taxes like I do, and I think women should be consistently compensated similarly to men for the same performance level at the same jobs. Does that make me a crazy Marxist Socialist Communist?

Yes. You answered your own question quite well.

No, and both of your desires are already achieved.

Argument fails.
Yea, cause Illinois, California, and the like are benchmarks of wealth these days And people tend to make more in liberal blue states, cause you're gonna need every last bit of it just to survive the taxes.

I don't think its a matter of wanting to know how much people make, but are you paying an equal percentage tax on your income as I am.

Why are Republicans so obsessed with what other people do in the privacy of their own home?

Both parties have extremists, but its standard at the Republican party to worry about social issues that the state has no responsibility to determine what private citizens do in a free country.

I was quite ready to just read through the thread quickly and ignore it, until I read that post.

Can you explain why you believe that the "fair share" for some people is $0.00? How is it that some people are entitled to benefits at the expense of others?

The poor pay a variety of federal, state, local, property, sales and excise taxes besides federal income tax. I'm sure you already know this.

You believe a family of 4 making 26K a year (the cutoff for $0 payment), seniors, students and single parents should be paying more federal tax? At the expense of the wealthy paying a few percentage points more in federal tax? Good luck winning that argument.

I have NO IDEA what you're hooting on about! But spare us the explanation, in any case.

The "Cool Story Bro" award for June 2012 goes to this post. Only the least logical and fact based posts deserve this honor. A post must completely come out of nowhere and have neither documented nor anecdotal evidence behind it. Cool story bro
