A report last year from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found that individuals who are not authorized to work in the United States were paid $4.2 billion in refundable tax credits such as the Additional Child Tax Credit in 2010 because they were able to file tax returns using an ITIN (see Illegal Workers Got $4.2 Billion in Tax Credits).

Maybe they have finally been embarrassed to a degree that they have no other option than to revamp their antiquated systems. Let's see if they actually institute and enforce it.

They are also going to revamp Lifeline when they found out folks were getting 3-4 free cellphones.
Again..lax oversight.


Sometimes the MSM does do their job by reporting fraud and getting the government do at least admit wrongdoing.
