NBA and other sports are tiny, exclusive entities, true meritocracies owned by bottom-line cartels of white males. Irrelevant. And Broadway is also overwhelmingly white and discriminatory like the rest of private-sector America.
When Obama's re-elected I would like to see him take advantage of Republican stupidity and move on legislation to help labor. Joining unions would help a lot of minorities counterattack against the plutarchs. The Republicans are working hard to destroy the middle class but I think they can be stopped if the majority of patriotic Americans go to the polls and vote in progressives.
Get a clue, union membership is at its lowest levels in sixty years. Didn't you liberals learn your lesson from Wisconsin?
And just how are the Dems wanting to amnesty millions of illegal aliens going to help the job opportunities for blacks and other Americans? Is that what you call being progressive?
Liberals don't really care about black people they just want their vote. They talk to black people like a pimp, tell them what they want to hear. But their policies say like wise like supporting illegals aliens, which suppresses wages and hurts black people who do blue collar jobs.
So is that why blacks are fleeing the ne and the rust belt for the south? To be exploited?
Because that's where all the jobs are, in the right to work states like texas. Even the normal people from California are getting out of that liberal hell hole, and moving to Texas. I see so many California plates in Texas it's ridiculous.

That might be true (though I doubt it) but at least the Democratic Party is not constantly insulting them and attempting to enact laws harmful to them. Republicans are always doing that.

Ever since the civil rights movement, Republicans have done everything in their power to push minorities away from their party. So far they've conceded blacks, latinos, and gays. They are also doing every thing they can to concede the women vote. So why do they act surprised when minorities punish them at the polls by voting overwhelmingly Democratic?
A powerful coalition of minorities was crucial to Obama's victory in 08 and it will be crucial again to his victory in 2012. In fact, it is Obama's strong showing among minorities, particularly Latinos, that have put several former red states into play as swing states. The GOP is depending on conservative whites and an unlimited supply of Wall Street money to win the election. However, there is a limit to the amount of votes that money can buy.
Why would black people vote for a party that cares little about illegal immigration? Which race suffers the most, employment wise, when the illegals get the jobs?
It is the difference between a party that has principals and does not look at Americans as black, white, hispanic etc...but looks at everyone being the same, has the same shot at making a successful life. The Democrats look to divide and pit one ethnic group against the others. They win elections this way, but it is not the country that most people want to live in.

Republicans don't look on Americans as black, white, Hispanic etc? Then why did the GOP position itself as a whites only party since the civil rights movement of the 60s. Ever heard of the "southern strategy"? The Republicans are always the ones who try to stoke racial strife and division in the country. The Democrats see themselves as a big tent party which is inclusive of everyone from all races. The Democratic party is as diverse as the rest of America. The same can't be said of the GOP.
