They will catch whoever did it and they will pay for their crime as it should be. Murder is murder.

As I said earlier, he (or she) will most likely not be eligible for the death penalty.

Portland is a small town. The last murder was 2 years ago. Granted it might be bringing a bit more publicity because they were gay and it happened in Texas.

MSNBC picked it up from a local news source and made it national.

And the local news source just reported "2 teen women".

Homicide investigation in Portland: Two women shot, one survives » Corpus Christi Caller-Times
Two teen women were found shot in the head about 25 yards beneath a scenic overlook deck at Violet Andrews Park about 9 a.m. Saturday by a couple visiting the park, police said.

That fact that MSNBC took the local story and ran with it, should tell you all you need to know as to why the headline now reads: Same sex couple....

So you are upset that MSNBC reported a story about a violent murder because the couple was gay?

Friends and family of two teenage girls in a same-sex relationship who were shot in the head in a South Texas park expressed shock and grief Tuesday over the incident in which one of the young women was killed and the other severely injured.
Mollie Judith Olgin, 19, and Mary Christine Chapa, 18, were found in knee-deep grass in a nature area in Portland by a couple Saturday, said Portland Police Chief Randy Wright, who confirmed to msnbc.com details first reported by the Corpus Christi Caller Times.

Thoughts?
Maybe a jealous "love" triangle?

I rest my case.

Would you care if it was a heterosexual couple?

Would we have a thread on it?
